Enhancing sustainability through awareness on Climate Change and food security for Women with disabilities
a project, being Capacity development.The overall essence of this project is to engage in the awareness raising on climate change and agriculture food crops production, animal husbandry and other agriculture activities in order to feed themselves and avoid only waiting for employment opportunities. To widen the mines of the increasing population of the disabled community in Liberia on climate change and food security. Quite importantly, considering the fact that BAHCAGWE National Transit Center for People with Disabilities Inc. has seen that there is a need for the revitalization of its agriculture program so as to ensure adequate awareness raise on climate change and food security for the disabled Community especially for her members as well as a cross section of the disabled community in Liberia and the locals within the reach of the project operational zones.It is against this face of circumstances that the BAHCAGWE through its agriculture department thought it quite necessary to commence on awareness raising on climate change and vegetable crop production, animals husbandry projects respectively and later on rehabilitation of the swamp fish ponds (2) and snail raising projects will start on the two acres of farm land owned by BAHCAGWE in Bamboo Town, Central Virginia, Montserrado County.The proposed project will utilize a three access point model to reach youth with a comprehensive package of intervention that include community-driven life skills, sexuality education, economic livelihood skills and vocational training interventions; comprehensive case management services and mobile outreaches that provide psychosocial support, health services and referrals for advance care at existing health faculties. Addressing key bottlenecks in access to health, social and economic empowerment services for the disadvantaged young people will help provide a more equity-focused and integrated approach to their development, which is expected to result in changes in their capabilities, attitudes and behaviours. In the end, these are expected to contribute to reduction in the disadvantaged young people?s vulnerability as their mental well-being improve, and economic empowerment provided leads to more stable physical situation, and the confidence gained from self-employment lead to more independence and better ability to make positive life decisions. Together, these positive outcomes can prevent disadvantaged young people from getting involved in acts of violence or radicalism. diversification of other Livelihood activities.At the end of the eight months of implementation, there will be sustainable food security through Improved Agriculture practices, climate change awareness will have been achieved and livelihood sustained.

Notable Community Participation
An in-depth consultation has already taken place, with discussions beginning in 2020 with community and stakeholders representative. This proposal has evolved as a direct result of that consultation process and a pre-project development visit which was undertaken from September by the project team
Promoting Public Awareness of Global Environment
Knowledge transfer and capacity building based on personal involvement of local people are at the heart of this project and hence dissemination is an integral aspect of what is planned.
