E-waste collection project “WEEE RECYCLED”
Electronic waste (abr. WEEE, e-waste) - waste containing discarded electronic and other electrical devices, as well as their parts. Electronic waste can have high hazard classes due to the substances it contains, such as lead, mercury, polychlorinated biphenyls, polyvinyl chloride (due to the formation of dioxins during combustion)
Electronic waste has become a new topical environmental problem for all of humanity. Mobile phones, computers, printers, cameras, game consoles "morally" become obsolete within a few months after purchase. Demand encourages buyers to abandon "old" gadgets in favor of purchasing new ones. All this contributes to the fact that in 10 years the volume of toxic electronic waste in the world will increase 500 times. The growing accumulation of e-waste poses a number of significant problems:
