Environment Protection in Moongi Area
The goals of the project include, conservation of biodiversity in canal irrigated areas and attainment of sustainable ecosystem functions by protection of remnant biota: reduction of global warming by use of fuel efficient stoves.
Community Development Committees have already been formed and prove helpful in launching the project after which each household of the six villages will be a target area for conservation and installation of the stove. Thus all the residents of the households will be indirect beneficiaries and the women of the house will be the direct beneficiaries.
The anticipated results of the project include sustainable development in six villages of Maongi area; based on conservation of the processes of ecological systems and reduction in green house effect.
