Implementation of green recovery, social inclusion and COVID-19 response best practices for the benefit of local communities
The main goal of the project is to demonstrate the best practices of green recovery in the context of COVID-19 for rural communities, including people with disabilities. The project will develop and implement the methodology of garden therapy that will help professionals to work with people with disabilities, local authorities and ordinary citizens to better understand the needs of people with special needs in modern society. To this purpose the project will launch a demonstration inclusive facility and phytozone on 0,25 ha plot to expand the capacities, knowledge and skills of people with disabilities using garden therapy techniques. The information campaign will disseminate experience, raise environmental awareness of the communities on social inclusion through environmental education activities: trainings, seminars and study visits.

Emphasis on Sustainable Livelihoods
- developing and disseminating methodological principles regarding social work with people with special needs and demonstrating benefits of using garden therapy techniques; - creating a demonstration inclusive phytozone to expand capacities, knowledge and skills of people with special needs using garden therapy techniques; - disseminating experience, raising environmental awareness and culture of communities by means of ecological education activities.
Promoting Public Awareness of Global Environment
In the course of project implementation, a broad information campaign was carried out on websites, Facebook pages and in print media. Also, information and educational activities were held: the project organized a seminar for CSOs? representatives of the UNDP-GEF SGP from Ukraine, the Republic of Belarus and Moldova within the framework of South-South cooperation, took an active part in the International scientific and practical conference on inclusion and the 5th Specialized international "Eco Forum 2021".
