Improving Communities Livelihood and supporting the conservation through promoting of growing Friendly Organic Rice (Ibis Rice) for rescue wildlife
The project is aiming at providing support to improve livelihoods of villagers living in and around protected areas and conserving 133,707.73 hectares of globally protected and globally important endangered birds and other mammals on the IUCN List located in the western of Siem Pang Protected Areas. The project will disseminate the importance of the Siem Pang Wildlife Sanctuary and the impact of hunting or trapping in the seven villages, the principles of organic and wildlife rescue rice are strictly applied to all project beneficiaries to promote the conservation of natural resources in the region, and link organic rice products to market with higher price than local market price. Document lesson learnt and good practices is also part of this project.
