The project will provide support the IPs and communities in 5 villages around Boeung Yeak Laom, which are affected by the Covid-19 pandemic to i) register Boeung Yeak Laom Community and get official recognition from MoE as Boeung Yeak Laom Community Protected Areas. Moreover, project will also support Boeung Yeak CPA committee members to develop and launching CPA management plan, strengthening in implementation of CPA by-law/regulations and support the development of Boeung Yeak Laom CPA financial policy and procedure; ii) support women and youth participation in conservation and development Boeung Yeak Laom CPA to build new port (8m x12 m) to attract more tourist, west management and clean up tourist areas, provide training on traditional practices and traditional dancing, songs and other traditional performance to attract more tourists and motivate and improved youth restaurant and develop traditional good matching programme for good quality and test to attract more tourist and bring more income to community; iii) promote ownership and sustainable of Boeung Yeak Laom CPA by collective monthly contribution for forest patrolling among communities, authorities, committees, women and youth group, forest fired prevention by making fire raod and store 22 water jar (300 litter jar), preapare the tree nursery to the replant inside Boeung Yeak Laom Community Protected Areas with the collaboration with Department of Environment; and iv) document good practices and lesson leans from implementation is also part of this project.
