Practicing Agriculture for lingkkaging with natural resources conservation in order to reduce the impacts of COVID-19 pandamic of IPs families. ??????
The project is aiming at reducing the negative impact of Covid 19 through increase economic opportunities for indigenous households in Phnom Prich Wildlife Sanctuary (PPWS) & Srepok Wildlife Sanctuary (SWS), and the enhanced roles of women in responsible agricultural practices by i) Increase the awareness of IPs and stakeholders on the Covid 19 and its negative impacts on their livelihoods, which at least 90% of the local authority (village and commune- 411 people which 211 are women) increased their knowledge of the Covid 19 (related to the mechanism of prevent and control the spread of virus) and raised awareness of local people in the village; ii) Strengthening the local agriculture production system and market chain for the agriculture product of the project beneficiaries through establishing at least 4 saving and producer groups (focus on rice and vegetable production) established with a total of 80 households (40 women), and 60% of all members accessed the group loan to create and scale up their agribusiness on rice and vegetable growing, 60% of 80 direct household beneficiaries improved their knowledge and skills on the smart-agriculture (rice and vegetable), and then they can increase their yield of rice and vegetable per hectare compared to the baseline data, and 40% of 80 direct household beneficiaries access the better price of agriculture inputs from suppliers and better price of their sold agricultural products; iii) at least 80 direct household beneficiaries complied with the conservation compatible agriculture practice in which at least 50% of all direct household beneficiaries evaluated are satisfied as the good practice farmers on the conservation agreement with Tonsong Kaoh Nheaek Conservation Agricuture Programme; and iv) document good practices and lesson leans from implementation is also part of this project.
