Grass planting for cattle at Nammut village, Luangnamtha district, Luangnamtha province
Nammut is a tribe village of Akha that locates in Luangnamtha district, Luangnamtha province. The village has a large area that is suitable for raising the livestock. However, the people here still rely on natural resources for livelihood development, the main occupation is slash and burn cultivation, rubber plantation, hunting the wildlife and animal husbandry naturally. The slash and burn cultivation, hunting for foods are harmful activities threatening the terrestrial ecosystem. Thus, the project aim will focus on grass planting for the cattle as a choice for community economics of supply chain in engagement with social inclusion that will help villagers to reduce the invasion of hunting the wildlife species and heavily harvesting the NTPFs for foods and trading.
