Environmental Protection through Agricultural Community Development
This project has been installed a permaculture demo and a research farm in Pha Tad Ke permaculture farm Ban Nongchong, Chompeth district, Luang Prabang province. The propose is to continue training and providing the follow-up support for the trainees in their communities which has been received grant from GEF SGP in year 2018. Increased understanding and knowledge about sustainable permaculture farming will provide better livelihood for farmer communities, improves food security, and reduce stress on biodiversity by reducing slash and burn and unsustainable forest foraging. The project aims are to improve the awareness about biodiversity conservation by implementing sustainable agricultural techniques and seed production; improve farmers knowledge about permaculture methodology and practice to cope with climate change to the community.
