This Foirobo Tribe Biodiversity Conservation Association (FTBCA) project is mainly to support communities in East Baegu, Malaita Province, who are interested in conservation and sustainable development. The idea to conserve the forests is to keep it safe from activities that will destroy it like deforestation and logging which is important to sustain nature?s diversity, benefit the climate, and support human well-being. Humans are supposed to be living in a better place that has the best environment so that we breathe fresh oxygen and for best health to our bodies.

The main objective of this project is to keep the sustainable use of land resources and harnessing the materials into a developed product that meets food security for everyone.

Environmental Objective
To conserve our land?s natural habitat from negative impacts caused by human beings.
1. Improve livelihoods and conserve biodiversity.
2. To educate the present and future generation on how to conserve our land for animals and birds to live happily and good environment for us humans to live in.
3. Increase institutional and technical capacity for improved environmental governance at all levels and to enable plants, animals and humans to inhabit the forests in a friendly way.

Development/Livelihood Objective;

The main development objective of FTBCA is to carry out activities that are beneficial to all the
indigenous people within Foirobo tribe and also other related tribes of Foirobo.

3. Look and learn trip to Wai-Hau Conservation site
4. Rangers allowances
5. Footpath construction at the conservation site
6. Bee farm conservation
