The project aims to improve disease prevention and treatment, increase income for ethnic minorities in the context of Covid 19 epidemic by application of indigenous knowledge about, management and effective use of the medicinal plants resource, and consumption of the related products in the locality.

The following key activities will be implemented:
- Providing the local community with indigenous knowledge for recognition, processing and use of medicinal plants.
- Enhancing the community-based capacity in sustainable exploitation and development of local medicinal plant resources.
- Promoting the production and consumption of products from medicinal plants in the locality in line with criteria of the ?Each commune an OCOP product? programme.

Note: The Grantee received the 1st and 2nd payment of total 48,000 USD.
As some activities had to be adjusted due to actual situations, the grantee returned VND 302,121,639 via UNDP bank account using SCA; (equivalent to USD 12,374.9).
