Project Characteristics and Results

Notable Community Participation

As stated in the project, our organization's mission is to foster the exploration of the potential of the new generation by developing their physical, intellectual, mental, and social capabilities. Through this project, we aim to actively engage young people in all activities outlined in the project plan, with the primary beneficiaries being school students and young individuals associated with the school community. The overarching goal is to make a positive contribution to the creation of a better society by empowering and nurturing the potential of the younger generation.

Promoting Public Awareness of Global Environment

Communication with the population takes place through both face-to-face interactions, such as organized trainings and information meetings, and through the creation of a group of beneficiaries on social networks. This approach is based on the shared goals of the project.

Emphasis on Sustainable Livelihoods

The knowledge and experience gained through the project will improve society's attitude towards nature, the knowledge gained within the project will give the beneficiaries the opportunity to organize a small family nursery on their land and turn it into an entrepreneurial activity, which will improve their socio-economic conditions.

Capacity - Building Component

The project offers significant opportunities for sustainable development. It will be possible to expand the area every year, which will be greened with the seedlings we have raised and planted. The knowledge/experience gained by the project will be shared in the community, among interested persons, greening actions will be organized, where a large part of the population will be involved.

Gender Focus

The results of the project will be equally beneficial for both women and men. Everyone will enjoy the advantages of greenery and recreational areas. The acquisition of knowledge and experience within the project framework will be equally accessible to all beneficiaries and interested individuals. This approach ensures that the benefits are shared inclusively among the entire community.

Inovative Financial Mechanisms

With the organization of the project group, as a result of the implementation of the project, up to 3000 square meters of land in the village of Nigvzara will be greened, an orchard with perennial plants will be planted. The knowledge and experience gained within the project will be used by the student-youth in nature protection activities, the started activities will continue every year, the beneficiaries of the project are mainly elementary and middle school students, parents and teachers. The science department of Nigvzar public school will be actively involved. The nursery will constantly provide the school with the opportunity to carry out practical research activities. The experience will be periodically shared with the school community and the community, informational meetings will be organized frequently. Students will perform the activities described in the project every year.

Project Results

All the activities carried out within the framework of the project had a positive effect on improving the knowledge and practical skills of the beneficiaries, raising awareness.

? Beneficiaries acquired skills in setting up drip and automatic irrigation systems.
? A nursery covering an area of 1500 sq. m. was established, producing seedlings for planting on a 1 ha land.
? Students enhanced their programming knowledge, particularly in the field of engineering.
? A total of 130 beneficiaries actively participated in project implementation activities, attending various sessions such as trainings, informational meetings, and presentations. They also completed a training course utilizing resources created within the project.
? Beneficiaries are applying the acquired knowledge in their family farms, laying the foundation for entrepreneurial activities.
? A base for teaching entrepreneurship was established in the school.
? Four socially disadvantaged women were employed in the nursery.
? Various plants were cultivated, including 50 blueberry saplings, 56 colchicum larch plants, 17 apple and 10 pear trees, and 5 grafted tree saplings. Additionally, 154 currant, 150 strawberry, 12 blackberry, 12 thuja, 18 fruit trees, 30 pine, and 1 gooseberry seedlings were planted.
? The school's science laboratory space was organized, featuring an automatic watering system for indoor flowers and test panels of aeroponics. The first stage will involve sowing green lettuce.
