Promoting the indigenous knowledge in forest protection and forest fire prevention contributing to conservation of ecological biodiversity of Ba Be National Park, Bac Can province.
The project aims at promoting the indigenous knowledge of ethnic minority peoples in forest protection and sustainable development, biodiversity conservation of Ba Be National Park and protected areas in Bac Kan province, contributing to improving livelihoods and safe ecological conditions for people living in the buffer zone.

The following key activities will be implemented:
- Conserving the black ants for food from eggs, renovating and developing local specialty fruit trees for consumption.
- Integrating indigenous knowledge about forest protection and forest fire prevention into old-time songs and poetry, developing local community-based rules and regulations, guidance on forest development and management.
- Raising awareness and capacity of community leaders and people in forest protection and fire prevention with the engagement of mass organizations and reputable persons in the communes.
