Support to Youths in agri-business and economic empowerment in Mvomero District, Morogoro
TEG's a youth-led organization based in Morogoro region. Register No. OONGO/00007540 in 2014. Our vision is to facilitate positive transformation at the community level, leading to active local participation in effective protection of biodiversity around Eastern Arc Mountains of Morogoro Region in Tanzania. TEG's work is inclusive and respectful of local culture. Our values of freedom, creativity, hard work and protecting the environment for the future generation, guide us in all that we do
MAMA is an on-going program that aims to support the environmental conservation, protection initiatives and acting toward the issues of climate change in Eastern arc, Tanzania. MAMA program is aligned with national campaign to support tree planting campaign of 1 million trees per region as directed by Vice President, Samia Suluhu Hassan in 2018 and Morogoro regional to establish 2 reserves Mt.Msembe is part of the reserve by 2021 to combat climate change.
In 2017, TEG partnered and supported by Embassy of France in Tanzania. TEG empowered 365 youth beneficiaries, 18 communities, behavior change awareness raised to 1,279 on waste management and planted 15,057 trees up-to-date in 5 districts; Kilosa, Kilombero, Gairo and Morogoro municipal and rural.
We have worked with France Embassy in Tanzania, Morogoro international school, natural resources networks/committees; Morogoro region office and Current implementing project in and around Uluguru block natural reserve (s) and Morogoro Municipal with Morogoro municipal: Department of Natural resources and Environment, Choma village and Serengetiytes a digital company.
TEG believes through partnership with key stakeholders will empower young people. Empowered young people will have energy and motivation that creates lasting change in their communities.
