Sustainable use of water resources to ensure cultivation of arable lands and increased yield in Lusaghbyur community
The project aims at strengthening the capacities of Lusaghbyur community to address environmental challenges, such as land degradation and climate changes, as well as produce socio-economic benefits to tackle rural poverty and ensure food security.

Within the project it is envisaged to introduce a sustainable land-water management system through demonstration of high-value crop cultivation technologies, construction of a gravity irrigation system for restoration of community lands and industrial landscapes, as well as operation of a cereal crops separating and sorting machinery for the community needs. The project will also support strengthening local capacities in application of smart agro-ecological practices. As a result of the project implementation, around 120 hectares of land will be returned to cultivation, thus improving the livelihood of 250 households in Lusaghbyur community. Moreover, introduction of high-value crops which is also intended to ne managed through the community Climate Revolving fund, will ensure increased income for the local population, and contribute to the sustainable use of production landscapes, and reduction of the poverty and migration in the community.
