Sustainable Agricultural Growth, Facing Climate Change in Al-Quwaira and Al-Risha Villages
The project promoted the use of ?Permaculture? as a sustainable agricultural practice within the households gardens? of Quwaira and Al-Risha villages, beside other practices like organic farming, greywater irrigation and solar energy. This project also provided a capacity building program targeting the local farmers, especially women and youth, on sustainable agricultural practices among other activities. Besides, one of the project activities have supported the ?Clean Blue? initiative in Aqaba, the sole coastal city in Jordan, and the initiative in return contributed in raising the awareness on marine ecosystem through the summer schools conducted by Princess Basma Development Center, among the pupils of Aqaba.
