As a result of civil society's efforts, a document regulating the transportation of mining vehicles will be developed and initiated. This document will undergo review and approval by the City Council with the aim of reducing dust, noise, and vibration in the city. Degraded soils surrounding the city, responsible for dispersing manganese-containing dust, will undergo greening initiatives, involving the local government and socially responsible entrepreneurs.
Through advocacy efforts, at least two passenger cable cars will be restored, contributing to the reduction of emissions from traffic flow and ensuring comfortable transportation for passengers to settlements around the city. Additionally, this restoration will enhance the tourism potential of the area.
Hosting public meetings with diverse social and age groups in the population.
Featuring television stories in local news, periodically within the activities of the broadcasting company, specifically broadcasting stories about the project's specific activities on Imervision.
Creating and broadcasting two television videos aimed at improving the transport policy of manganese-carrying vehicles in the Chiaturi territory.
Printing and distributing a brochure summarizing the project's importance, with 300 copies to be printed. These brochures will describe the project's goals, tasks, and achieved results, and will be distributed in various institutions and crowded places in the city by a group of volunteers.
Organizing two talk shows on local television. These shows will involve various stakeholders discussing the project's goals, objectives, and both achieved and achievable results. The summary program will delve into the achieved results and lessons learned.
Inovative Financial Mechanisms
Imervision, the broadcasting company, is planning to organize two talk shows. Participants will include the "Chiathurili Union," young people, representatives of the local government, and civil society. The first talk show aims to introduce the project to the citizens of the municipality, while the second will occur at the project's conclusion to summarize its results.
Additionally, a brochure with a circulation of 300 copies will be published, outlining the problem addressed by the project, detailing the actions taken, and presenting the achieved results. Continuous promotion of the project will occur through Facebook. Towards the end of the project, there will be a comprehensive presentation and discussion of the results achieved, as well as any new challenges that may arise.
Capacity - Building Component

Voluntary participation in planting saplings on degraded soils.
Engaging through television stories, television videos, and social networks.
Organizing public meetings with the population.
Gender Focus
The role of women is crucial for the successful implementation of the project, as confirmed by studies. Traditionally, women are entrusted with managing the family household, ensuring family health and children's safety, and addressing sanitary and hygienic issues. Consequently, when changes are necessary, especially those related to the environment, women actively assume leadership roles and collaborate with the "Chiaturi Union," either individually or through organized groups such as the "Rgani Women's Club," "Shukruti Women's Community Union," and others. The active engagement of women in environmental issues is considered a priority value.
Notable Community Participation
The role of youth within the project will be crucial. In addition to acquiring knowledge, they will actively participate in dialogues with decision-makers to create and adopt a normative act regulating the transport flow of minerals. This involves collecting signatures to initiate the normative act, conducting information activities to emphasize the necessity of changes in the municipality for improving the eco-situation, and participating in the planting of saplings to enhance the eco-climate in the surrounding area of the city. Their involvement extends to shaping youth ideas through advocacy in the process of improving transport policy and developing the concept of "Chiathura Green City." Furthermore, they will actively participate in school conferences. The Chiatura student union and young people dedicated to the future of Chiatura will play a pivotal role in addressing environmental protection and other crucial issues in the region.
Project sustainability
To effectively reduce greenhouse gas emissions and combat climate change in the long term, it's crucial to enhance inspection and control measures for the technical inspection of mining vehicles. Additionally, in the Chiaturi municipality, there's a concerning trend of high diesel fuel consumption, which poses significant health risks compared to other municipalities. Addressing these issues will be vital for promoting environmental sustainability and public health in the region.
Policy Impact
With the involvement of civil society, the adoption of a normative act on transport policy.
