Recognition and protection of the Traditional Vacarian Territory in the valleys of the Vacaria and Peixe Bravo Rivers
This project aims to support the process of self-recognition of identity and defense of territories, communities that claim to be vacarian, located in the upper-middle river Vacaria, North of Minas Gerais state, as well as proposing initiatives capable of helping communities to protect themselves in the face of the COVID pandemic. -19 and food insecurity. Instruments such as Tô no Mapa (mapping of invisible communities), TICCAs, state and national legislation and international conventions will be used to defend their rights.

1. Traditional Vacarian Territory Data Collection on Communities and Map of Families on the proposed theme 2. Making handmade soaps to expand communities' self-protection against COVID-19 3. Notable Community Participation
It was promoted a ethnophotography workshop with the majority participation of the youth. The workshop aimed at strengthening the identity and territoriality of traditional peoples, among them, the Vacarianos.
