Adapting the Pontinha de Sabor agroindustry to the challenges of the Covid-19 Pandemic
The Pontinha de Sabor agro-industry, partially implemented in the local municipal school, is the result of partnerships coordinated by Instituto Sustentar, since 2012. In 2015, the production of pequi-based products, under the Pontinha de Sabor brand, which have already reached several markets . With the project, we hope to adapt the agroindustry to the safety protocols of COVID to continue the production and flow of products, in addition to implementing production bases aimed at the development of economic activities and the conservation of natural resources. The present project also aims to improve the community's ability to communicate online with customers, since Pontinha has very limited access to the internet. This large gap, in addition to making communication between community members difficult during the pandemic, prevents the productive group from reaching new markets, such as e-commerce. The project's actions also seek to consolidate the social organization of the productive group through entrepreneurship and associativism workshops.
