The project focused on promoting debates on the sustainability of quilombola territories, through exchanges, training workshops and promotion of social cartography in the communities of Bocaina and Barreiro. A community garden was installed in the community of Bocaina; five springs in Barreiro and one spring in Bocaina were identified and recovery and protection processes were initiated, with fencing, identification with plaques and cleaning through joint efforts. Still with the support of the project, the Bocaina Association Office was renovated.
As the main result of the project, the two quilombola territories served were strengthened through the participatory mapping process, support for food production and actions to protect water sources.

Generating autonomy is a very relevant part of the project, as communities increasingly seek to be at the center of decision-making and protection of their own territory. In this scenario, the
project played a relevant role in increasing people's self-esteem, generating autonomy in the face of socio-environmental issues and providing another possibility for income generation.
