Territorial and Environmental Management in the Nambikwara Indigenous Territory
The Participatory Territorial and Environmental Management of the Nambikwara Indigenous Territory project aims to promote the strengthening of governance and indigenous community management of the Nambikwara Indigenous Territory, aiming at the sustainable development of its populations and their adhesion to the TICCAs recognition. The activities will be planned in a participatory, democratic and consensual manner, and aim at the construction of: Territorial and Environmental Management Plan (PGTA); training of indigenous leaders, women and youth; promotion of extractivism and sustainable production practices; appreciation of indigenous handicrafts made by women and young people; combating deforestation, burning, hunting and predatory fishing in the territory and discussing about the TICCAs registrtion. The expected results are the strengthening of territorial management and indigenous rights, agroecological production, improvement of food and income security and appreciation of the Nambikwara indigenous culture.

Policy Influence
Acomplished the populational census and partipative social environmental diagnosis of the territory; had held traditional events and rituals; enhance elderly, youth and women participation. All of these, strenghten the PNGATI (National Policie for Environmental and Territrorial Management of Indiginous Lands).
