GOAL (VISION/GENERAL OBJECTIVE)
Strengthening the livelihoods of the 4 village communities on Semau Island that pays attention to the balance and sustainability of environmental, social and economic management.
objectives (SPECIAL PROJECT OBJECTIVES)
Objective 1:
Increase livestock productivity through innovation in feed processing technology
Indicators:
1. 1. Body weight of cattle (cows and pigs) at the age of 6 months.
2. 2. Number of farmers using new feed.
3. 3. Number of Farmers using Bokashi Organic Fertilizer and POC
Activity:
1. Support for the procurement of a chopper that can be used to chop forage for animal feed and for the manufacture of liquid organic fertilizer (POC)
2. Training on making animal feed for interested breeders (limited to 10 breeders with emphasis on women).
3. Support of tools and materials for the manufacture of animal feed (limited to 1 group/village and prioritized for women).
Objective 2:
Improving farming time efficiency through innovative use of water for agriculture
Indicators:
1. Time to water the plants.
2. Number of farmers adopting water use innovations.
Activity:
1. 1. Introduction of technology in 4 GMI assisted villages.
2. 2. Support procurement of tools and materials for 4 groups in each village that will be intervened
