Project goal: reducing greenhouse gas (CO2) emissions by installing a solar power plant as a source of energy in the state educational institution "Besedovichy UPK nursery garden - secondary school", as well as building capacity in the project region to introduce organic vegetable growing technologies and create jobs in this area.


Project tasks:
1. Modernization of greenhouse facilities for practical training in ecological farming on the basis of the State Educational Institution "Besedovichy UPK nursery-garden - secondary school".
2. Familiarization of schoolchildren and villagers with safe agricultural practices.
3. Improving agriculture and obtaining safe agricultural products through the introduction of environmentally friendly greenhouse facilities using an alternative source of energy.

Results:

2. A solar power plant was installed and is successfully operating to ensure the activities of the greenhouse economy, as well as the State educational institution "Besedovichy UPK nursery school - secondary school".
3. Generated about 12,500 kWh of electricity per year. The savings in electricity consumption costs of the UO is $ 1,800 per year. Reduced CO2 emissions as a result of production and consumption of own electricity by 7.95 tons per year.
4. All the necessary conditions were created for the participation of people with disabilities in the process of vegetable growing.
5. A program was developed with the aim of equal participation of men and women throughout the entire project cycle.
6. Possibilities of farming on equal terms (vegetable growing) was expanded for both women and men.
7. On the basis of the school, within the framework of the subject "Labor training", there is a resource center, the work of which contributes to the growth of students' knowledge in the basic technological processes of agricultural production for the cultivation of environmentally friendly products.
8. There is socialization of people with disabilities through the involvement of the State Educational Institution "Khotimsk District Center for Correction and Development Education and Rehabilitation" in vocational training "Vegetable growing".
