Climate - smart ecological home gardens
The project aims to improve the capacity of rural women to adopt to climate change through increasing the expansion of the low-level agricultural terraces, climate-smart fields in home gardens. The project will support establishing 500 smart planned agricultural terraces in 25 dunums of home gardens for 25 women, distributing equipment and planning of smart terraces, drip irrigation networks, water tanks, organic fertilizer and Humic liquid, vegetable seedlings for municipal varieties, drought-resistant seeds for climatic changes, tools, including organic pesticides, sprayers, agricultural traps, plastic rolls 120 cm wide and 500 meters long, implementing workshops on climate change, reducing its effects, economic empowerment of families and rural women, printing a brochure on the implemented project and producing joint video with other GEF/SGP grantees to disseminate the project achievements.
