Waste management is one of the biggest problems facing our country. Waste is all items
that no longer have any use value for humans, from which they intend to dispose or have already
been disposed of. In addition, waste is an item that people want to throw away because of their
hazardous(risky/dangerous) properties.
Many items can be considered as waste such as household waste, industrial waste,
packaging, old cars, old TVs, garden waste, old paint containers, etc. In this way, all our daily
activities can produce a large number of different types of waste that come from different sources.
WEEE is a complex of waste from different materials and components, including several
hazardous(risky/dangerous) substances that can be improperly deposited in the environment and
can harm human health if that waste is not properly managed.
These risks can be significantly reduced if the waste is well managed. The elements of good

adequate treatment, which will reduce the release of harmful substances and will allow as much of
that waste to be recycled as possible.
There is a possibility that most of the electrical and electronic appliances that are thrown
away will be repaired or recycled.
Having in mind all this, our project will contribute to the collection and reuse or recycling
through the social inclusion of young people, as one of the vulnerable groups in the labor market of
North Macedonia.
Through this project, we want to contribute to the management of electrical and electronic
waste through social inclusion of young people. We want to carry out this project, because e-waste
is problematic and hazardous waste, but also an opportunity for profit. For example, electronics
contain valuable and increasingly rare substances. In one computer, this includes iron, aluminum,
copper, lead, nickel, sheet metal, gold, silver, platinum, and palladium. Therefore, e-waste
recycling is a possible source of income.
The project outcome is the management of electrical/electronic waste through the social
inclusion of young people, their training with specific skills and their employment.
