Supporting indigenous women in sustainable agriculture and food security through a harmonized land tenure security system along the Weto Landscape.
The project promoting sustainable community driven smart climate agroecology, agroforestry, organic farming, Livestock and natural resource management, seeks to address insecurity in land tenure of migrant rice farmers and to secure biodiversity conservation on the Weto Mountain Range. The project is expected to develop acceptable land tenure, that will support indigenous brown rice cultivation to meet the national standard in ten communities along the Weto landscape in the Afadzato South District. When successfully implemented, rice production within the landscape will contribute to food security in Ghana, livelihood and job creation rights of women and marginalized along the landscape which can be replicated in adjoining communities.
