The project aims to establish a plantation that will gather multiple local varieties (50 varieties) of almond with best crop qualities. The objective of the collection is to establish a common point where any farmer of Uzbekistan could gain access to a selected varieties of almond for creation of his/her own plantation of almond. The key characteristic of the specie is its drought-tolerance and thus it is very useful for climate change adaptation in arid ecosystem of Uzbekistan.
