To support the promotion of responsible and sustainable fishing through innovative techniques for valuing fishery resources in the communities of Tres (3) Bolama, Canhabaque and Uno Islands.
Improve the level of fishing activity through the provision of appropriate fishing materials and equipment.
Promote sustainable collection of Combes.
Increase the resilience of beneficiaries in protecting marine biodiversity.
Description of project activities
1. Island of Canhabaque tabanca de Inorei;
Activities:
Purchase and distribution of sustainable fishing materials to 20 fishermen benefiting from the project
Support in the process of legalization of fishermen's association.
2. Island of Bolama Tabanca de Ga-Beafada;
Activities:
Purchase and distribution of fishing materials to 49 fishermen benefiting from the project
Construction of a 2-ton canoe.
Purchase of 15 horsepower engine.
3. Island of Uno Tabanca de Ambeduco;
Activities:
Purchase of materials for combê collection.
Purchase of foodstuffs to collect combê for 20 women
Legalization of association of women extractors of combê.
Purchase of artisanal fishing materials for 20 fishermen.

Project follow-up/evaluation
Creation of local project management committee.
Training of the local management committee on project management, associativism and cooperativism.
Training on marine resource management.
Training on the importance of conservation of the biosphere reserve
Transport of sustainable fishing materials and combê to the 3 Islands.
