The project to address sustainable socio economic recovery for local indigenous farmer. The locked down due to the global pandemic of COVID 19 had contributed to the dropped of local indigenous farmers productivity in terms of food production and cash income. And hence the local community now increase dependency on forest goods and services. That the threatened endemic bird species status in Santo and Gaua are subject to decline due to destructive extraction and the forest ecosystem habitats are vulnerable to the modification to unsustainable farming practices. That the project will undertake biodiversity assessment for information on the threatened species status locally, pursue for legal protection through registration of community conservation in Community conservation in Santo and Torba. And seek for support to nature base solutions for improve food and income generating for the local community and at the same time contribute to protection the local natural forest ecosystem.
