Integrated Management Plan for Rangla Wetland Complex project
To develop an integrated management plan for Rangla Wetland Complex.
The project goals are , with active participation, to protect and conserve the Biodiversity of the area, to chalk out an integrated management plan of Rangla Wetland Complex, through community participation, for evaluation and monitoring as a comprehensive document for sustainable use of the site .Furthermore, to help coordinate and involve local and state agencies so that a harmony and confidence may be developed among people and governmental agencies. It was furthermore to help reduce poverty by providing incentives with the involvement of key people of the communities and governmental and non governmental organizations.
Activities to be carried out under the project include surveys, observations, data collections, research ,formal dialogues and interviews, co ordination with other governmental and non governmental organizations.
A comprehensive document devised under International Management Planning System for Integrated Management of Rangla Wetland Complex will be chalked out. In this regard, all stakeholders will be involved in planning, evaluation, monitoring and implementation process. Conservation and protection of the site including conservation of internationally threatened Marbled Teal and Ferruginous duck Species and to enhance awareness amongst the masses for sustainable use of wetland resources and controlled hunting are also anticipated results.
