To develop project proposal for improving the watershed area in the Rumbur Valley and adopt measures to check river erosion.

The main objective of the project is to arrest and reverse the prevailing upland degradation processes and increase agro-silvopastoral production in the Rumbur Valley of Chitral district. This can be achieved by adopting suitable long and short term natural resources management strategies and technologies.

The project participants and beneficiaries will be the local Kalash communities of the Rumbur Valley in Chitral.

Anticipated results of project include Improved local environment and biodiversity situation, increased productivity from agricultural lands, strengthened capacity of RCVO and local people through transfer of technologies and Improved socio-economic conditions of local people.
