Almost two decades have passed since the GEF Small Grants Program first began funding local projects in our country. During this long period, ASD Milieukontakt Macedonia has a history of successful cooperation with the GEF Program, but also actively follows the growth and development of the projects financed by GEF-PMG on the territory of the entire country.
The results achieved by the realization of these projects are of great importance for the people, organizations and institutions that connect during the realization of these projects, but at the same time they are also of great importance for the community that benefits from their realization.
The commitment to the realization of activities of the GEF PMG grantees is serious, thorough, supported by real and measurable results.

the achieved results have little visibility and recognition in the country. Impressive and exceptional projects that directly contribute to reducing the amount of waste and at the same time contribute to strengthening the economic situation of people and communities at the local level are on the margins of visibility in our country. The low visibility and promotion of such projects, which have serious results achieved by dedicated people and organizations, contributes to the marginalization of real, measurable, important and successful projects and gives space for different interpretations, placing half-hearted information and affirming wrong postulates about the contribution of GEF PMG projects in our country.
