Intergenerational knowledge approach where elders will pass on the knowledge to younger ones especially the women to young girls, this will also be in line with the community health relays put in place during the implementation phase. The community health relays, selected from the targeted communities will be equipped with communication gadgets to permit them disseminate information and after the implementation of the project examples of good practices and lessons learned will be prepared and vulgarize in the community. In a summarized booklet or guide.
Notable Community Participation
The setting of youth relays platforms will increase the participation of youth in the projects. Almost all the actions in this project equally involve youth as the relay point between SURA-MAMA and the local communities. The mobilization will be carried out by the youth.
Gender Focus
This also takes in to consideration the role of women in taking care of the family because when the men go for hunting; the women are the first victims to handle the animal in the processing of cooking and cleaning; this renders them more vulnerable to the zoonotic diseases and contact with the animals. The reason why they must be well sensitized and implicated in the entire project as the health of the family fully depends on the conditions and care by the women. As well as they stand in a higher position to teach their children on the risk and measures of prevention.
Significant Participation of Indigenous Peoples
This project fully considers the role of indigenous women as it is designed and developed by the indigenous women from that community ; and 75% of the implementation will be done by women and youth from the local community.
The Indigenous women will make use of the language to transmit the knowledge to the younger generations
