This planning grant assisted the grantee in conducting an energy audit, determining the level of energy conservation actions required, and the estimate of the cost of procuring and installing a fully solarization system. Whereas the project was meant only for the grantee's section of the building when designed, the grantee expanded the audit to include the entire building and three other users of the building.

The complected energy audit recommended significant improvements to the excising wiring system and several energy conservation measures. The system proposed is estimated to cover 69% of the grantee?s average energy consumption.

The grantee is now at a point to go out to the open market to find the best service provider.

During project implementation, 2 men and 3 women were employed, and they collectively received US$3111 (men) and US$292 (women).
