Ado Rural Farmers Association Sustainable Agro-Forest Nursery Expansion
ADO rural farmers association has been promoting forest and tree planting activities in the Dala area ward 4 in Malaita Province. The area has experienced logging and degradation of land resources as a result of population growth and invasion of foreign pests and diseases such as the African giant snail, Rhinocerous beetle, stem rot to plants etc. Thus, the project basically is about producing of seedlings and plant materials for forest and agriculture requirements, nursery of plant materials that are resilient to pests and diseases that are attacking plats and forest. Also, the project will cater for the distribution programs of plant materials and seedlings it will produce from the nursery projects. Objectives are; Produce enough plant materials to cater for demand from members and surrounding communities.

Produce quality planting materials and seedlings to its members and surrounding communities.

Ensure supply of planting materials are always available.

Ensure planting materials are available in order to implement ARFA rehabilitation/enrichment programs on logged over areas.

Ensure that the nursery facilities accommodate various types of forest products and agriculture products.
