Angouru Community Mangrove Conservation and Rehabilitation Project
The project aims to protect the coastline of Angouru from coastal erosion and at the same time, rehabilitate of the mangrove forest through replanting. The objective is to replant 5 Ha of the cleared area in the mangrove forest, build technical capacity with Angouru and surrounding communities, and develop a community management plat which will guide the community in the management if this project.
Project Components are:
? To demarcate areas for proposed mangrove rehabilitation and conservation
? Procurement of tools and equipment
? Nursery and transplanting of mangroves
? Construction of Educational and information Centre with lavatory facilities and installations of project signboard
? Development of management plan
