This project was intended to plan and deisgn full sized project. Species were identified for nursing and raising, nursery sites to raise and care for tree seedlings and to become distribution points were identified in consultation with all beneficiaries, under the circumstance : the farmers affiliated to the organisation are scattered all over Jiwaka province.
Areas were identified, beneficiaries were identified to be involved in full sized project and a success, unplanned from this design phase was the identification of a tree, a native specie that is already culturally significant since a prt of the tree is used in traditional attire of people of Jiwaka stretching across to Simbu province. This tree also has natural quality of enabling high quality honey production. This will also be a focus for tree planting, due to its demands and significance to honey farmers and the province as a whole given its cultural value.
