Integrating Traditional Taro Gardening in watershed management to improve community food security in Vanuatu Phase 2.
The Project will be the integration of Traditional Irrigation Gardening to improve watershed management and at the same time will promote new farming techniques in the Agro Forestry Model to address food security, improve livelihood, improve Agriculture farming techniques, sustainable land management and impact of climate change. The project activities also to interplant indigenous multipurpose tree species such as fruit trees including indigenous tree timber species in coconut plantations once occupied by traditional irrigation farms and revisit the traditional farming systems.
