Promoting Public Awareness of Global Environment
Developing and implementing participatory communication, participation and awareness-raising action plan; - Identify users friendly and cost-effective tools and techniques of communication and awareness raising such as production and distribution of printed materials, audio-visual and use of press and electronic media such as websites, radio and television, public meetings, workshops, and informal events organizing special coaching class.
Emphasis on Sustainable Livelihoods
Integrated Community Natural Resource Management for soil conservation and Livelihoods Improvement; - Soil conservation of degraded land of lekh by planting 10000 Tejpat, 10000 Timor and 40000 Boomgrass. - Documentation of success story of Demo plot - Phapar kheti promoting: Agricultural intensification ( 20 HH/100 ropani) - Peanut kheti promoting: Use Bio-fertilisers and pesticides (60 HHs) - Promotion of organic vegetable farming (50 HH/) - Intensive Management of Community Forestry ( 100 ha) - Promoting users friendly water harvesting methods and technology (2 ponds) - Promoting alternative energy (Matribhumi chulo) (100 HHs), and - Landscape improvement (Garha sudhar) in 60 HH /100 Ropani
