Capacity Building & Knowledge Management Project of the SGP Grantees
The capacity building project has been awarded to organize regional stakeholders workshops, monitoring and evaluation workshops, training on financial management, gender mainstreaming, participatory rural appraisal training and finally to carry out audit for the 15 projects of SGP grantees.
The general objective of this project is to enhance the capacities of local communities and NGOs (concerned grantee officials, field staffs and stakeholders of SGP supported projects). The specific objectives of this project are:-To build up the capacity of grantee to effectively implement SGP project, To exchange learning & experiences among grantees, To make grantee staff aware on gender issue, To support local NGO/CBO to access SGP grants,To help increase information dissemination and visibility of SGP.

Project Characteristics and Results
Capacity - Building Component
The capacity building activities will be carried out to achieve the proposed objectives:- - Organize 3 days Learning Cum Review Workshop (3 times); targeted 50 participants are team leaders, NGO chairperson, CBO member, SGP CO, Journalist, NSC member, UNDP Co. It aims to provide share project status in plenary and reviewing, present the operational and reporting guidelines during the workshop from the country office, display their knowledge product during the workshop small display competition would also be carried out. - Organize 5 days of Financial Management Training (2 Times); targeted 25 project accountants to enhance capacity of Admin/Accountant to maintain transparent and efficient financial management of SGP Project. - Organize 7 days Participatory Rural Appraisal Training (1 time); targeted to 20 Team Leaders to enhance their capacity of project team leaders on PRA and simplify the process of baseline information collection and updating CBO status monitoring at local level. - Organize 5 days of Gender Sensitization and Social Inclusion Training (1 time); targeted 25 participants of SGP project to enhance level of awareness on gender issues and social inclusion in project areas. - Audit Exercise for the 15 number of projects of SGP to maintain the financial integrity of the project and to monitor the financial status of the project.
