Protection of River Swat
To adopt measures in collaboration with Government departments to reduce the sources of pollution of River Swat.
The project goals are to protect fresh water source from alide and liquid waste, to promote plan construction through developing land use and planning guidelines and to involve communities and stakeholders in the planning and management processes along with the government.
The participants are communities, government, and research and development organizations. The beneficiaries will also be the communities, also the tourists.
The anticipated results of the project are septic tanks made by hoteliers, better management of liquid and solid waste in the valley, proper planning and drawing guide lines, long term institutional arrangements made and partnerships strengthened and a data base established.

Notable Community Participation
Community will be mobilized to ensure the participation of the concerned communities in project activities. For mobilization of the communities meetings with community will be arranged from time to time. Following will be the major actions under this activity, in communities where already organizations exists will be strenthenened and re orientated; to include in their agenda issues of mutual interest regarding the project activities.
