Development and Implementation of Landscape Strategic Plan for Crocker Range Biosphere Reserve Landscape, Sabah
This project through participatory action for adaptive management of natural resources and ecosystem processes for sustainable development will overcome the organizational, technical, and financial management weaknesses of the local communities living and working in the target CRBR rural landscapes so that they can act strategically and collectively in building social and ecological resilience. It will be focusing on a strategy that is inclusive with inputs from all stakeholders and taking a bottom-up approach through the building of local communities? capacity to plan and implement activities based on their own self-determination and initiative. The project overall objective is to develop a Landscape Strategy for Crocker Range Biosphere Reserve (CBBR), Sabah so that community organizations within the landscape can take collective action for adaptive landscape management in building socioecological resilience for global environmental benefits and sustainable development.
