Early green recovery of educational institutions
Project is focused on the territory of the Irpin community, which suffered devastating destruction during the occupation.
More than 75% of the infrastructure of the community was destroyed; every school and kindergarten was destroyed.
International community, state and local authorities are trying to consolidate efforts, but the needs remain quite
significant. Early green recovery in educational institution of the Irpin community, implementation of socio-psychological
rehabilitation using the principles of sustainable development education will be an important contribution of GEF SGP. A
demonstration project on the green recovery of the educational institution of the Irpin community will be implemented. It
will become an example of a comprehensive solution to increase the sustainability of community, cooperation of experts,
educators, local authorities and the public, and will also serve as a multifunctional space for community recovery and
sustainable development, as well as for therapy and rehabilitation for children and youth. The project includes a series of
events for educators regarding the best practices of education for sustainable development, as well as rehabilitation and
ecotherapy of children affected by the war.
