DOCS Coastal Management Project
The project will construct a seawall to protect coastline against coastal erosion on a area at Tulagi Island, Central Islands Province. It will address the following Key result Areas;
? Build local knowledge through community-based trainings and participatory risk mapping and analysis.
? Cultivate adaptive capacity by helping local leaders to factor climate change projections into traditional decision-making processes.
? Strengthen resilience to disasters and climate change impacts through implementation to build mitigation infrastructure (concrete seawall), and disaster prevention and preparedness training, and land-use planning.
? Results will include improved coastal zone management and water resource management capacity and strengthened disaster management
