Hihifo borders Pangai in Lifuka Haapai and is facing the same issues, so much so that Hihifo Project will mirror that in Pangai. The difference would be the methodology of project implementation. The cost variance of the project is also due to the population difference of the two villages. Hihifo although coastal facing has more farming land than Pangai and therefore may be better situated to focus on food security than Pangai but adapative and innovation is the focus of this grant in terms of livelihood farming for the community.
