Overall objectives/activities to be implemented under the grants are as follows:
? Objective 1: Developing and implementing a public-private dialogue mechanism in environmental protection of Nha Trang Bay and coral reef conservation in the area of Hon Mun, Nha Trang Bay.
? Objective 2: Strengthening the cooperation between the community, the private sector and state agencies in environmental protection and coral reef conservation in the area of Hon Mun, Nha Trang Bay.
? Objective 3: Establishing a sustainable livelihood foundation for the residential community in Bich Dam neighboring the area of Hon Mun, Nha Trang Bay.
Expected outcomes include
? Public-private dialogue forum on environmental protection, coral reef conservation and development in Hon Mun, Nha Trang bay will be established, operated and maintained effectively and efficiently
? Improvement of awareness and perception of stakeholders, first of all, the community and private businesses that exploit and use the Hon Mun sea, Nha Trang bay in terms of environmental protection and coral reef conservation to maintain local community livelihoods and promote sustainable blue economy
? Reduction in plastic waste pollution and coral reef degradation in Hon Mun, thus promote the gradual restoration through cooperation of stakeholders with the community and businesses playing the crucial role.
? Priorities for sustainable livelihoods of the resident community in Bich Dam are identified and established through shared cooperation between the Bich Dam community and the private sector operating in the Hon Mun marine area, and relevant state agencies.
? The development and adoption of coordination mechanism and policy recommendations to promote dialogue and cooperation among stakeholders in environmental protection, coral reef conservation in Hon Mun associated with sustainable livelihoods for the community
