Planning grant for orientation workshop on Air Pollution
To aware the NGOs and CBOs of air pollution and assist them in developing proposal for GEF/SGP funding.
The main objective of the project is to take/identify measures for the control of air pollution In Peshawar through local NGO?s and communities in order to reduce the likelihood of adverse climate change.
The activities to be undertaken will center on consultation with different stakeholders. The main participants will be Government officials from EPA, local government, Industries department, PE & D Department, Traffic Police, representatives from NGO?s, Rickshaws & Bus Unions, mechanics, media and politicians.
The anticipated result will be that the general bus stand would be identified as a project area and proposals submitted to UNDP Islamabad by local NGOs for the improvement of GBs.
