The strategy is to build a large cadre of Champion Farmers those will be from the pool of CRPs, through whose agency many more farmers will learn about the concept, in its multiple variants and dimensions. Uniform package of practices will be developed and the project would strive to promote adherence to these practices through regular visits and handholding by CRPs. The events outside district and state are mainly for exposure to new ideas and building perspectives. The methodology would be a mix of classroom sessions and video sessions and live demonstration of the activity long with interaction with farmers and experts.
Promoting Public Awareness of Global Environment
VDC, (CIG) & Water User Groups/Farmer Groups are the base of the community institution which provides a perfect platform for disseminating information and skill transfer to the beneficiaries of the village. Thus, community will use the platform of these Groups for their own capacity building and enhancing their leadership skill. Annual conference cum exhibition for women farmers with all the stake-holders (Block, District & Panchayat) have been planned to build on learning and experience where they will get positively exposed to experiences.
