Commercial Production of Medicinal Plants at Kinangop area
This project consists of 2 CBOs working in two different geographic areas growing different endemic medicianl plant species for commercial usage on a large scale farming. The project aims at establishing demonstartion plots so that local farmers are able to learn how to grow medicinal plants on their own shambas.Marketing outlets were already established by SAMTECH.
The medicinal plants production should be a high price approach and serve as an alternative to other low price crops like maize.
