Imrahor Valley Adaptation
Imrahor Valley Adaptation
Today half of the world population lives in urban settings and this ratio is expected to reach
75% as of 2050. Given this fact, this project aims to strengthen the resilience of Ankara?s valleys against climate-related risks and to build local capacity for adaptation to climate change.
The ?Nature-Based Metropolitan Solutions: Imrahor Valley Implementation Project?, in which
Kent-Lab will assume the coordination of the project and the Ankara Citizen Assembly will act
as co-applicant, will include with reference to former meeting project, a comprehensive implementation project to establish participatory processes to implement ecologic, sociologic
and economic aspects of Ankara Imrahor Valley?s resilience to climate change and disasters, to support local government?s efforts to develop nature-based applications, and to protect urban eco-systems and biological diversity.
